Mark Mariano is an award winning cartoonist and best selling author who loves to entertain and inspire others to create their own stories. Specializing in kids' comics and picture books, he has visited many schools and libraries. Not just for kids, Mark has presented at Rutgers University and several comic conventions.

The Creative Journey (All Ages)
In this inspiring talk and presentation, Mark reads aloud one of his books and discuss everything that goes into creating a book. Tales of art struggles and failures, funny childhood flashbacks, images of the comics he made as a kid, live drawing and more! Wow, how does he pack that all into one presentation?
Monster Maker (Pre K to Grade 2)
Mark reads aloud his book, The Other Side of Hugless Hill and discusses how he created it. Working with the class, Mark draws a monster based on their ideas.
Shapes and Animals (Pre K to Grade 2)
Mark discusses how he creates picture books and shares a lesson on creating different animals from shapes.
Creating Cartoon Characters (Grade 3 and up)
In this interactive workshop, Mark discusses how comics are created. He shares tips and tricks with the class to create their own characters.
Panel Party! (Grade 3 and up)
You are cordially invited you to the Panel Party, where your imagination, storytelling ability, and art skills will be welcomed and celebrated. Simply put, we are going to have a blast making comics together! Warning: attending this party may result in you throwing your own Panel Party at home!
Scribble Scramble (drawing game for Grade 3 and up)
Eight artists chosen from the crowd compete in a series of quick-thinking drawing quests for the ultimate prize: The Scribble Scramble Championship belt. Your doodling destiny awaits.
Cartoon Carnival (Grade 3 and up)
A fun series of drawing challenges that will spark your imagination and tickle your funny bone!
